Samsung
Flips. Sliders. Clamshells. Candybars. If you're old enough to have owned one of these types of phones, chances are I named it. In the 6 years that Samsung Telecommunications America was my client, I named hundreds of devices. Beginning with the pre-Galaxy BlackJack and wrapping up with the Galaxy S5 mini, if Samsung made it, I named it.

Fun fact: I once named 36 Samsung Android phones in 50 days. Shortly after, an "Android Name Generator" site was launched, and it got ridiculous. It's gone now, but I guess all exposure is good exposure... ::sigh:: (link courtesy of the Wayback Machine)

One of the more interesting naming projects I did for Samsung was for the "NFC Sticker" – an add-on product that took advantage of the Galaxy line's newly built-in NFC chip. Of the 300+ names presented, TecTiles was far and away the favorite.

Fun fact: the name created so much buzz internally that the form factor (originally a circle) was changed at the last minute to be a square in order to to align with the name better for market launch.
